This drink was supposedly invented by Winston Churchill’s mother Jennie. It is one of the great number of drinks named after cities in New York State.

Ingredients

    4-6 cracked ice cubes
    A dash of Angostura bitters
    3 parts rye whiskey
    1 part sweet vermouth
    A cocktail cherry

Directions

  1. Combine and stir over cracked ice in a mixing glass.
  2. Strain into a glass and decorate with a cocktail cherry.
